Building community is the goal of BlackOut '99
Cleveland-For the third consecutive year, Cleveland's African American samegender-loving, or SGL, community will celebrate its culture and explore its unique position in both the African American community and the lesbian and gay community.
Hosted by BlackOut Unlimited, BlackOut '99 will take place on the weekend of July 30 through August 1 in Cleveland.
"Community is very important to us. In fact this year's theme is 'Building Community for the Next Millennium.'"
The weekend will include four official events, all designed to inspire a sense of community among African American SGLs.
